For anyone who loves hiking and trekking, visiting one of Zalakaros’s most beloved attractions, the Forester’s Lookout, is a must. On a clear day, a breathtaking view awaits us from the 17.5-meter-high observation deck, where we can admire the forest-covered hillside, as well as the stunning panorama of the Kis-Balaton and the Balaton Uplands. Located in the Zalakaros Park Forest, in close proximity to the Snail Trail educational path, the Forester’s Lookout underwent a complete renovation and was reopened in 2018.
There are numerous hiking trails available to visitors in the area, and you can also relax at the Lookout Wine Bar at the foot of the tower. Occasionally, exciting sports events are held in the forest, such as cyclocross races, hiking tours, as well as family and sports days. The charming visitor center provides an unforgettable experience for adults, seniors, children, and the whole family alike.
One of the best hotels we've stayed at during our travels (worldwide!!!). Clean, spacious room (superior), excellent wellness area (we didn't even go to the large bath), and the breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, with the food being incredibly delicious.
Marianna Glück-MolnárWe travel the world from Peru to Nepal, but we regularly return to two places: Belenus and the Maldives. Great clay tennis court, unbeatable food, and excellent hospitality.
Henriett S. and Jenő L.We stayed at the Belenus Hotel for the third time, and once again, we were not disappointed. It is a very pleasant, comfortable, and beautiful hotel. The staff is excellent and attentive to the guests' wishes. The food is delicious and varied, and the servers are very attentive and quick.
Kálmán SzabóIt's no coincidence that we've been coming to this hotel for over 10 years. There's no request they can't fulfill. Friendly environment, attentive staff, family-like atmosphere, comfortable, clean rooms, and a relaxing, uncrowded wellness area perfect for rest and rejuvenation.
Ildikó BaanWe have been to the hotel at least ten times! We go every early summer and at the end of November! We love it; the waiters greet us as familiar faces and always have a few kind words for everyone!
